Hinxworth is home to the 'Hinxworth Archers', one of the few archery clubs in the area
Hinxworth Archery Club was formed in 1999 and is the most northerly archery club in Hertfordshire having a current membership of 57 (adults and juniors)
Archery is very much a family sport. Members are aged from 10 to the over 65’s and it is not uncommon for three generations of the same family to take part on a regular basis.
Hinxworth Archery Club is affiliated to the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS) and Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS) and is also active within the Hertfordshire Archery Association (HAA). The club has a number of nationally qualified coaches in residence.
The club meets 3 times per week Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, and also has an indoor facility for the winter months.

The Hinxworth Art Society was born in 2002, when some established artists as well as some complete beginners got together. They currently have over 30 members of mixed abilities. Regular meetings take place on Wednesdays from 10.00am to 1.00pm in the Village Hall in Francis Road. The meetings are very relaxed and friendly.A selection of these pictures can be found for sale in the pub restaurant.
